HTZ at the largest tourist fair in Hungary – Utazas 2024.

Representation of the Croatian Tourist Board in Hungary presents the Croatian tourist offer on the fair Utazas, the largest tourist fair in Hungary, which is held in Budapest from February 22 to 25. This significant four-day tourism event brought together many interested stakeholders and actors from the travel and tourism industry from all parts of the world, all with the aim of effective promotion of tourist potential, exchange of experience and knowledge, and presentation of the advantages of different tourist destinations. She also confirmed that this is one of the main international tourist fairs in this part of Europe, where Croatia effectively and high-quality promotes all the advantages of Croatian tourism. "Presenting the Croatian tourist offer at the largest tourist fair in Hungary is an ideal opportunity to further strengthen the recognition of our country as a tourist destination. Already on the first day of the fair, we held numerous meetings with various partners, while many media representatives expressed great interest in study trips to Croatia. Such feedback proves that interest in Croatian destinations continues to grow, and there are already numerous reservations made by Hungarians for trips to our country.", she stated Prince, adding that the first day of the fair was dedicated to the business audience, while the other three days were open to all visitors.

The extremely high interest of Hungarian tourists in traveling to Croatia is evidenced, among other things, by the results of tourist traffic from the Hungarian market in the current part of the year. Namely, Hungarians have so far achieved more than 7 thousand arrivals and done 30 thousand overnight stays which compared to the same period last year represents 20% growth in arrivals i 64% in overnight stays. At the same time, Hungarians spent the most overnight stays on Kvarner, the city of Zagreb te Wife, and in terms of destinations in Opatija, Rijeka, Rovinj i Zadar.

"During the Utazas fair, we will be able to further assess the situation on the Hungarian market, which is traditionally one of the most important emission markets for Croatian tourism. This is precisely why current trends and indicators show that Croatia is becoming an increasingly popular destination for Hungarians and for trips outside the main summer season.", she concluded Prince.
