HTZ presents its business offer at the Conventa congress exchange in Ljubljana

Croatian tourist agency and this year it presents the Croatian offer of business tourism, that is, the MICE segment at the congress exchange Convent, which takes place live from August 23 to 25 in Ljubljana. 92 exhibitors from 17 countries are participating in the congress exchange, and in addition Congress department of HTZ the congress departments of the tourist boards of the cities also participate in the exchange from Croatian entities destination i Dubrovnik and six companies including Croatia Airlines, Plava Laguna dd, Wine & Heritage Hotel Roxanich, Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, Le Meridien Lav and AC Hotel Split.

"This year's exchange is the 14th in a row, and so far it has profiled itself as one of the most important places for creating new contacts and additional values ​​for all participants focused on MICE tourism. Our goals at Conventa include the promotion and positioning of Croatia as a quality and attractive destination for business travel, that is, in this way we contribute to the further strengthening and development of the MICE segment in Croatia. The feedback from the stock exchange is very good, our Congress department held more than 30 meetings, which confirmed the great interest in Croatian destinations.", said the director of the CNTB Kristjan Staničić, adding that MICE tourism is extremely important for stimulating tourist traffic in the periods before and after the season.

Also, let's add how it is at Conventa i Bruno Bonifacic, director of the HTZ Representative Office in Ljubljana, while over Hosted Buyers program on the stock exchange and 145 buyers from 33 countries were present. When we talk about Croatia, the greatest interest in our country is expressed from neighboring markets, such as Slovenia and Hungary, precisely because of the proximity of the market and the possibility of using road routes in the case of larger corporate groups traveling. 

Congress exchanges are the most important gathering place for international congresses and incentives for supply and demand as well as specialized media and are intended for business clientele. Organizers of congress exchanges provide exhibitors with meetings with high-quality buyers through a special "Hosted Buyers" program where they bring the most important buyers, media representatives, corporations and associations to the exchanges at their own expense.  

The Conventa is traditionally held in January, but due to the COVID situation, it was postponed to August this year. Next year, the stock exchange will be held again in the winter term, i.e. from February 1 to 2, 2023.
