Croatian tourist agency represents the overall Croatian tourist offer at the world's leading tourist fair ITB Berlin which is being held from 5 to 7 Marchjka. Except Croatian National Tourist Board as the main exhibitor, as part of the Croatian stand, the offer is presented by 20 co-exhibitors among which are tourist boards Split-Dalmatian, Dubrovnik-Neretva, Lika-Senj i Šibenik-Knin County, as well as cities destination, Split i Dubrovnik. A Croatian tourist delegation was also present at the fair Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports and Kristjan Staničić, director of HTZ.
"Croatia's appearance at one of the world's most important tourist fairs with a long-standing tradition is a great opportunity to further strengthen the position of our country as an attractive and sustainable tourist destination. The expressed interest of our partners and visitors and the great demand for travel are the best reason for further optimism and positive expectations in the upcoming tourist season. This year, 70 million trips are expected from the German market, which will last at least five days, so I firmly believe that with this presentation, among other things, we will maintain a competitive position on the German market, from which we still generate the largest tourist traffic.", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of HTZ, adding that positive tourism trends are expected to continue this year, with special emphasis on pre- and post-season periods in which Croatian tourism has the greatest scope for further sustainable growth and development.
