In December 2023, Zagreb is the first in terms of arrivals and overnight stays

According to the data of the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, in December was realized in Zagreb 125.910 arrivals and 236.190 overnight stays, what does it represent an increase of 17% in arrivals and 10% in overnight stays, compared to the same period last year. In addition to domestic guests, guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Austria, Serbia and Germany made the most arrivals. In terms of overnight stays, among foreign guests, the first five places are occupied by guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Austria, Italy and Slovenia. With these results, Zagreb is first in terms of arrivals and overnight stays in December.

"In addition to the great results for December, the results are even better at the level of the whole year. Namely, in 2023 we recorded 21% more arrivals and 13% more overnight stays, i.e. 1.307.153 arrivals and 2.541.030 overnight stays, thus positioning Zagreb on first place in terms of arrivals in Croatia. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our entire tourism industry for the great results, as well as our fellow citizens for the support and hospitality they show to numerous tourists. In the Tourist Association of the City of Zagreb, in cooperation with institutional and private partners, we develop and create offer in such a way that in every part of the year we have at least one key event that attracts tourists from all parts of the world. We also create special promotional campaigns on target markets, and this all contributes to a sustainable, year-round, positive trend of tourist results in Zagreb.", said the director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, Martina Bienenfeld.

From the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, they point out that the structure of guests throughout the year is different than in December, so the best foreign guests in terms of arrivals are guests from Germany, the USA, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, while guests in first place are guests in terms of overnight stays. from the USA, followed by guests from Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additionally, according to current indicators, in December, every third arrival and every fourth overnight stay was realized in the capital.
