In Zagreb County, the number of overnight stays exceeded 2019

According to the latest data from the eVisitor system, Zagreb County is recording great tourist results. In the first four months, there were as many as 97% more arrivals and 85% more overnight stays compared to the same period in 2021. If we compare this year's data with those of the record 2019, the level of 94% of arrivals was achieved, while the number of overnight stays exceeded the number of overnight stays by 8% in the first four months of 2019.

The most visited county towns were Velika Gorica, Jastrebarsko, Sveta Nedelja, Ivanić-Grad and Samobor, and apart from Croatia, most guests were from Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and the United Kingdom. .

"We all have high expectations from the season, and these results are a blow to all tourism workers to offer every guest an unforgettable experience in the green ring of Zagreb" - said Ivana Alilović, director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, who also reminded of the recently held WRC Croatia Rally.

"We are glad that this sports spectacle, which was broadcast in more than 150 countries around the world, was held in our county, and a great invitation was sent to the world to come to Zagreb County." 

She also pointed out that the trend of interest in holiday homes on the continent is constantly growing.

"It is these 'rural havens' that provide an authentic, safe and sustainable stay for each of our guests with an emphasis on staying in nature and outdoors in general.", explained Alilović, reminding of other trump cards of the Zagreb County, top eno gastronomic offer, famous wine roads, numerous promenades and bicycle paths and the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Zagreb County.
