In the first ten months of this year, according to data from the eVisitor system, 3,7 million guests visited the Split-Dalmatia County, who spent 18,3 million nights in commercial accommodation.
That's growth from 5% in arrivals and 3% in overnight stays compared to the same period last year. Taking into account the entire traffic, including non-commercial accommodation and yachting (charter), 4 million arrivals and 20,4 million overnight stays were achieved.
In the first ten months in Central Dalmatia, the largest number of overnight stays from foreign markets were achieved by Poles (2,3 million), Germans (2,2 million), Czechs (1,2 million), tourists from the United Kingdom (1,2 million) and tourists from BiH (1,1 million). The largest number of overnight stays in the first ten months was achieved in Split (3 million), Makarska (1,7 million), Omiš, Baška Voda and Tučepi.
"Ten extremely successful months of the tourist year 2024 are behind us, in which we have already exceeded the total results from the entire year 2023.These impressive numbers in the first ten months do not mean the end - because the year is not over yet, and we have two exciting months ahead of us filled with rich programs and events, especially in the coming Advent period." she pointed out Ivana Vladović, director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board.

Split Airport announced the winter flight schedule - promotion of the destination in the post-season
As interest in winter travel grows, the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County continues to work intensively on the promotion of the year-round offer of Central Dalmatia, especially emphasizing its beauty and authenticity in autumn and winter clothes, and with a view to next spring.
Also, after a record ten months in which Split Airport surpassed its previous results, the flight schedule for the next winter period.

Finally, in the month of October, Central Dalmatia was visited by 204.000 tourists in commercial accommodation who spent 743.000 overnight stays, i.e. 8% more arrivals and 9% more overnight stays than in October last year. The largest number of overnight stays in that month were made by guests from Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, France and Austria.
