In the period from January to July 2024, 65 foreign cruise ships entered Croatian seaports and made 357 cruises. There were 515 thousand passengers on those ships, who stayed in Croatia for 801 days.
The number of trips by foreign cruise ships in the period from January to July 2024 increased by 13,7% compared to the first seven months of 2023, and the number of passengers on these ships increased by 25,2%. The number of days spent by these ships in the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia increased by 9,3%, according to data from the State Statistics Office (DZS).
Out of a total of 357 round trips by foreign ships, most of them were made in Dubrovnik-Neretva County (48,5%) and Split-Dalmatia County (23,3%), which is a total of 71,8%. The remaining 28,2% of trips were made in the following counties: Zadar (13,4%), Primorsko-Goranska (5,9%), Istria (5,3%) and Šibenik-Knin (3,6%).
