The most famous German amusement park is building a section dedicated to Croatia

The owners of Europa-Park have decided to build a new thematic complex as a new attraction, which will be dedicated to Croatia and fully open in 2024.

Europa-Park in Rust, the most famous amusement park in Germany and the second most visited park in Europe, which is visited annually by about 6 million guests - mostly from Germany, France and Switzerland - dedicates a special whole to Croatia.

The park covers almost one million square meters and has over 100 fun attractions, including adrenaline ones roller coasters, a offers visitors the possibility of various experiences in its 16 large units.

The Mack family, the owners of Europa-Park, decided to build a new thematic complex dedicated to Croatia and fully open in 2024 as a new attraction and innovation.

In addition, already for this season, which starts on March 25, a Croatian movie theater called is opening in the park "Traumzeitdome Kroatien". The cinema, or film in 3D technology, will offer visitors the possibility of a virtual visit to Croatia by showing the most famous Croatian sights such as the walls of Dubrovnik, Croatian islands, national parks, nature parks, and Nikola Tesla will guide the viewers through the film and his inventions.

On the eve of the opening of the new season, a conference for foreign media was held in Europa-Park, where the project of the Croatian thematic unit was presented and part of a film about Croatia was shown.

State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina, Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, Director of the HTZ Representation in Germany Romeo Draghicchio and Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Stuttgart Ivan Sablić participated as special guests at the opening of the new season of the Park.

"The location of the park right on the German-French border, next to the cities of Freiburg and Strasbourg, makes it an ideal place to present Europe, its countries and their cultures. It is a great honor for us that after the tenth anniversary of Croatia's accession to the European Union, and especially in the year of Croatia's accession to the Schengen space and the Eurozone in such a large entertainment destination is opened by a whole dedicated to Croatia. This is a great opportunity to further promote our country in the very heart of Europe.", said the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić.

Each unit in the park represents a European country in a creative and original way, through which the visitor gets an insight into the main characteristics of that country through typical architecture and gastronomic offer.

"I am extremely glad that an area dedicated to Croatia is opening, especially if we know that Europa-Park is very popular in Germany, but also in the surrounding countries, and this will certainly have positive effects on the promotion of Croatia in Germany, Switzerland and France. As part of the Croatian area it gives us an ideal opportunity to creatively come into direct contact with new potential clients and families who are our primary target group of guests", he concluded Romeo Draghicchio, director of the HTZ Representative Office in Germany.

Europa-Park is also the largest German hotel resort with 5.800 beds and 2.000 additional accommodation units in Rust itself, a large number of restaurants, bars, conference halls, and a 23-hour daily show program for visitors.

The park won the Golden ticket award 8 times, while part of the "Rulantica" Park was declared the best water park in Germany.

The inclusion of Croatia in this project also expressed satisfaction Tonči Glavina, State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
