Bearing in mind that the vaccine is currently the most effective tool in the fight against the pandemic, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and HUT conducted a survey among tourism workers regarding interest in vaccination.
The results of the survey show that 70% of respondents expressed interest in vaccination. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports sent a letter to professional associations on the topic of vaccinating employees in the tourism sector, and the survey was conducted by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce at the initiative of the Council for Recovery and Development of Tourism.
"The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, through professional associations, initiated the collection of personal data of employees in order to obtain a quality database for the needs of public health services in charge of implementing the Vaccination Program, which would put the tourism sector in the priority group. We hereby note that the mentioned priority vaccination is voluntary and refers only to employees in legal entities and crafts in the tourism sector ", state from the Ministry and add that it is important to note that the expression of interest for inclusion in the list of priorities at this time in no way affects the already expressed interest in vaccination either through a family doctor or through the portal cijepise.zdravlje.hr and it should not be cancel until the moment of the call for vaccination by the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
Entrepreneurs as employers were required to survey their employees and classify those who expressed a desire to be vaccinated into two groups according to the epidemiological risks arising from their workplace.
- Priority 1. - employees who make greater contacts with guests and those employees who due to the nature of work are not able to ensure quality social distance, especially indoors or are in direct contact with products that go in front of the guest (eg kitchen, bar, etc.)
- Priority 2. - employees who can perform work without close direct contact with guests and make occasional contacts with guests and in the performance of work can provide epidemiological distance (for example, various technical services, accounting, etc.)
STEP 1: Survey your employees and fill in Table 1 (link to the table) with data.
Note: The data you have collected in Table 1, which contain the employee's personal data, should not be sent anywhere at this time, but will remain with the employer until the time of the vaccination call.
STEP 2: Preparation for the third phase of vaccination against the COVID 19 virus, which will give priority to vaccinating employees in the tourism sector
In order to update the data on the exact need for vaccines for employees currently employed by municipalities / cities and counties in order to ensure the most accurate vaccine distribution possible:
- Designate at company or trade level the person responsible for the administrator / coordinator to arrange the implementation of the vaccination
- Fill in Table 2 (link to the table) and send it by April 21, 2021 to your email address email@example.com
Connected to seasonal workers who will be hired later as for foreign labor, the sector will be informed in a timely manner after the agreement with the CNIPH, the Ministry points out.
After receiving data on the place of work and the number of employees who want to be vaccinated, the Croatian Institute of Public Health will shortly develop a vaccination plan in such a way that it will try to organize vaccinations for employees in larger companies in their companies and facilities. employees of smaller economic operators should be vaccinated at common vaccination points for the general population or in some other appropriate manner of which they will be informed in good time.
"Vaccination dates will depend exclusively on the priorities set by the Croatian Institute of Public Health and the competent local and regional public health institutes and institutions conducting vaccination, while the possibility of choosing a particular type of vaccine will depend on the availability of vaccines at the time of vaccination.", Conclude the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
