Excellent results of tourism in Central Dalmatia in 2022

During October, only in commercial accommodation, a growth of 53% in arrivals and 37% in overnight stays compared to the previous year was recorded.

The excellent results that were achieved in the peak of the season in the area of ​​Split-Dalmatia County continue in the post-season period. According to data from the eVisitor system and the office of the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County, in October alone, there were 147.000 arrivals and 565.000 overnight stays in commercial accommodation, which represents a growth of 53% in arrivals and 37% in overnight stays compared to the previous year.

In the first ten months of this year, a total of 3.163.000 arrivals (a growth of 38%) and 17.115.000 overnight stays (a growth of 27%) were realized in the county in comparison to the previous year, i.e. 95% of the overnight stays realized in 2019. . In first place, as guests with the most overnight stays in the first ten months, are Germans with 375 thousand arrivals and 2,47 million overnight stays, which achieved a growth of 24% in arrivals and 19% in overnight stays, followed by guests from Poland, the Czech Republic, Croats and guests from the United Kingdom. Split, Makarska, Omiš, Baška Voda, Tučepi, Seget and Hvar are the most visited tourist places in the Split-Dalmatia County, which record an increase in the number of overnight stays compared to last year.

Nautical tourism in the area of ​​Split-Dalmatia County was particularly successful, so from January to the end of October this year, 213.362 arrivals of boaters and 1.459.496 overnight stays were achieved, which is a 25 percent increase in arrivals and overnight stays compared to the same period last year. In terms of overnight stays in a nautical charter, sailors from Germany are in first place, followed by those from the USA, the United Kingdom and Austria.
