Today, the 12th session of the Tourist Board of the Croatian Tourist Board was held in Zagreb, chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac, at which the members of the council adopted the decision to appoint Kristjan Staničić director of the CNTB for a four-year term.

The members of the Tourist Council adopted a decision on the selection of projects of joint tourist boards in 2022, made on the basis of a public tender for the allocation of funds from the Fund for United Tourist Boards in 2022, which received a total of 145 applications from joint tourist boards. The Commission proposed, and the Tourist Council accepted the proposal of the decision on the allocation of HRK 6.641.434,70 for 88 projects in the category of local and regional tourist boards that were established as local destination management organizations for several local and regional self-government units and which are entered in the Register of Tourist Boards and HRK 2.968.469,50 for 31 projects in the category of local and regional tourist boards established as local or regional destination management organizations and which are by agreement associated with each other or with local self-government units for areas not established tourist community.

The session also adopted a decision on the appointment of Miodrag Mlačić as the new director of the CNTB Representation in the Czech Republic, which was made on the basis of a repeated competition, given that the previously selected candidate withdrew from the first competition.

Demand for Croatia is extremely high despite all challenges, and this is confirmed by the latest research According to which Croatia is among the top 5 markets for Europeans, our goal is to continue to strengthen our position in the tourism market and that is why we want to further encourage the development of offers and products through projects of joint tourist communities and more effective tourism promotion in less developed areas and continents. The members of the council also adopted a decision on the allocation of funds for projects of regional tourist boards in the underdeveloped tourist area and the continent in 2022. A total of 57 project applications were received by 15 regional tourist boards, and 56 projects in the total amount of HRK 14.697.063,00 were supported. Let us add that the session accepted the proposal of cooperation with Croatia Airlines dd and the Tourist Board of Osijek-Baranja County in a joint promotional project through which the rich gastronomic offer of Croatia and Slavonia will be further presented and promoted to Croatia Airlines passengers in July to October this year. years.
