Islanders and guests of this Lošinj Advent could enjoy a program filled with surprises and joy.
Thanks to the rich program, the hospitality of the hosts and the unique natural environment of the island, visitors could enjoy a variety of activities - from outdoor music concerts, gastronomic delicacies of local cuisine, to recreational activities in the fresh air.
At the New Year's Eve itself, which was full of entertainment and a unique island atmosphere, even 4.170 guests. From December 28 to December 31, Lošinj achieved a total of 13.905 nights, what does it represent index 122 compared to the same period last year.
The largest number of Austrians (37,3%), Slovenians (22%), Germans (18,2%), followed by Poles (7,2%), Croats (7%), Italians (2,8 % ), Czechs, Hungarians, Swiss, Slovaks, Serbs and others. They preferred hotels and camps for their accommodation, followed by private accommodation.
Hotel Bellevue (Mali Lošinj), Vitality Hotel Punta (Veli Lošinj) and Televrin (Nerezine) and Camp Čikat (Mali Lošinj) opened their doors for the New Year holidays, while Hotel Aurora and Family Hotel Vespera were also open for closed groups ( Mali Lošinj), as well as, of course, part of private accommodation.
By the way, the specificity of Lošinj's Advent season for the last fifteen years, as well as the entire Christmas and New Year program, is a humanitarian note. Numerous societies and associations as well as clubs and individuals joined forces again to collect funds through various actions and auctions and donate them for humanitarian purposes, for their fellow citizens - Anton Toić, Vedran Bošatlić and Ivana Vuković. It was collected by joint forces approximately 50 thousand euros!
