In anticipation of the upcoming main part of the tourist year, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports has intensified checks on compliance with protocols within the project Safe stay in Croatia.

All segments of the prescribed protocols are checked, from the correct wearing of masks to temperature measurement, restrictions on the number of people indoors and regular disinfection of common rooms and rooms for accommodation in commercial facilities.

As we know, they are established three levels of control adherence to protocol: through the controls of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, professional associations and the possibility for each guest to send their impressions through the website www.safestayincroatia.hr, which the ministry will check in the field.

"We have intensified protocol compliance checks within Safe stay in Croatia project and yesterday the employees of the ministry performed the hundredth supervision. We invite all tourism stakeholders, who have not yet done so, to join the project, implement protocols and respect measures in their business because they care about their safety, the safety of their loved ones, guests and contribute to the perception of Croatia as a safe tourist destination. We have received confirmations from important emitting markets about the value of this project, for which both governments and stakeholders in the tourism sector are showing great interest. Croatia has undertaken all activities to provide tourists with a high quality and rich tourist offer, and a safe holiday, more than 350 testing points have been established, the ministry has allocated 20 million kuna for the purchase of rapid antigen tests, and among the first in the EU, since 1 June, we also apply the EU digital COVID certificate", Pointed out the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac

Croatia is recognized as a destination that focuses on safety, ie the Safe Stay label is well accepted in foreign markets, as evidenced by all data from emitting markets.

The Ministry points out that so far it is a page www.safestayincroatia.hr visited more than 700 thousand visitors, mostly from Germany, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy. 

Safe Stay in Croatia has more than 16.000 users, and so far it is in Croatia vaccinated more than 60 percent of employees not only in the tourist system but also in activities that are part of the travel chain, from carriers, employees in airports, marinas, etc. By the end of June, the goal of the Government of the Republic of Croatia is to cross 50-55 %% of vaccinated citizens.
