In addition to accepting Plastic Free rules and habits, Plitvice Lakes National Park also has measurable goals to contribute to the preservation of nature and the environment as an organization. Since 2015, the park has started the process of eliminating plastic from its operations and separates all waste in the hotel, while bio waste is used for the production of fuel and animal feed. "Reducing waste is one of the goals of responsible business, but also raising awareness of how important it is to take care of seemingly small things - from choosing bio packaging over plastic, to paying attention to leaving excess food on the plate." allegations from the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Croatia is a country on the sea, the Adriatic Sea is our most important natural resource, it forms the base of our entire tourism, it is the source of existence for thousands of people in Croatia. Apart from the fact that the preservation of the Adriatic Sea is a strategic interest of every citizen and business entity in Croatia, we are one of the nations connected by the world's seas and oceans, and the fight for their preservation is our destiny. The ultimate goal is to get rid of the culture of using disposable products and the so-called "throw-away" society in which we currently live.

By changing our habits, we will directly influence the organizations that produce what we consume and move towards a circular economy in which all products are designed to be repaired, reused, recycled and ultimately significantly reduce waste and garbage.
