Sustainable tourism in practice: Lika Quality brings together 165 products produced by 63 manufacturers

Today at 11:00 a.m., a ceremonial award ceremony was held at the Cultural Information Center in Gospić. Lika Quality.

Representatives of regional authorities, tourist boards, public institutions, the tourism sector, local producers, community members and collaborators gathered today in a full hall. Cluster Lika Destination to mark an important event for the destination of Lika.

Namely, the Lika Quality system, which has been successfully promoting the quality of food, drinks, souvenirs and cosmetics from this region for eight years, awarded products that stood out for their standards and local significance.

Thus, certificates were presented to the following producers: OPG Ćaćić Ante, obrt Medenko, OPG Ašan, FEMA doo, L'vidis, MOT group doo, Formatech obrt, Jadri - trade doo, OPG Brkljačić, OPG Vunena čarolija, Pupilj doo

In addition to the fact that Lika Quality is today a globally recognized certification system for local products, it is also a symbol of regional pride and identity. The system, which includes everything from gastronomic delicacies to authentic souvenirs, has proven to be important in valorizing local products and encouraging sustainable development.

That this is so is proven by the fact that the system counts today 165 products produced by 63 manufacturers.

President of the Lika Destination Cluster, Petra Kovačević, highlighted the successes of past work that can be attributed to the synergistic effect of all stakeholders in the destination, with an emphasis on the certificate of sustainable destinations "Green Destinations".

The Lika Quality sign is designed as a combination of the traditional Lika cap and the international mark for quality - the letter Q. The sign is protected by the State Institute for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Croatia as a guarantee mark, the holder is Local action group Lika, and the project implemented by the Lika Destination Cluster.

"Special recognition for the project is given by the fact that the destination Lika is included among the "TOP 100 Global Green Destinations," which further confirms the commitment to sustainable development of the destination and environmental preservation. Also, the inclusion of the Lika Quality system in the European Commission's Travel Guide is evidence of its success at the international level." Kovačević pointed out.

This event represents another step forward in the promotion and preservation of local heritage and tradition, confirming that Lika, with the support of its people, can achieve great things.
