Toll payment on HAC sections is now also possible with the Telepass device

From today, July 14, on the highways under the jurisdiction of the Croatian Highways, it is possible to pay the toll via the Telepass device. Hrvatske autoceste and Telepass, as the leading Italian company in integrated mobility, have established cooperation in the field of application of the European electronic toll collection (EENC) for all groups of vehicles. 

Toll payment with the Telepass device for passenger vehicles is available in a total of 5 European countries - Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and from now on in Croatia, while for trucks the Telepass device payment service is available in 15 countries, including Croatia.

Since the adoption of Directive EU/2019/520 of the European Parliament and the Council of March 19, 2019 on the interoperability of electronic toll collection systems and facilitating the cross-border exchange of information on non-payment of tolls in the Union, Telepass is the first EENC service provider in the EENC domain of Croatian Motorways. Users who have a Telepass device will pay the toll in the same way as ENC users.  

The goal of the European electronic toll collection is to enable users to access the European toll highway network with one contract and one device, thus making their journey easier. Croatian highways, in cooperation with Telepass, enabled users coming to Croatia to get to their destination easier and faster.
