Franchises and franchise operations have today become an equal and equal model in thinking about entrepreneurial activity, which was not the case a few years ago. This is supported by the fact that it is three times safer and more sustainable to start a franchise business by buying a franchise than to try to build a brand from the ground up.

The first manual for existing and all future franchise entrepreneurs will certainly contribute to the further popularization of franchises: "FRANCHISE BUSINESS FROM IDEA TO SUCCESS", by Dr. sc. Ljiljane Kukec and Ph.D. Saše Petra, who was presented yesterday in Zagreb, at the first Franchise Club held in the premises Swiss School of Business and Management in Zagreb.

The book, as it was said at the presentation, provides through a very clear, comprehensive overview of franchise business from different perspectives, and guidelines and instructions for everyone who wants to not only perform but also succeed in the world of franchise business. 

Za Dr. Kukec passion is still the main driver of entrepreneurial activities. Another part of the challenge for the franchisor is how to prepare yourself in choosing someone who will know  stimulate or communicate and expand and develop your core business idea. This is precisely why this Manual starts from the very basics and main concepts, through how to develop a franchise and what you need to pay attention to, to advice and clear instructions on all the rights of both the provider and the recipient, from a clear definition of what contracts should contain and how to prepare and establish relations with suppliers.  

When we talk about franchises, we are actually talking about brands. Because every identification of the franchise is related to the brand, its strengthening and expansion, that is, the way in which the brand is sewn, he pointed out. Dr. Petar at the presentation. The key to a brand, and thus to a franchise, is trust - in the product, service and quality of the organization, pointed out Dr. Petar.

In the Handbook, in addition to numerous very useful and applicable information related to franchise business, four franchise entrepreneurs and their inspiring entrepreneurial stories are presented through franchise stories - these are Dog&Style, Children's Escape Room, Body Creator and Colak Franchising Consulting Group.

Andrija Colak, the owner of Čolak Franchising Consulting Group and co-founder of Surfnfries, believes that one of the important things to pay attention to is the regulation of intellectual property, i.e. the protection of authorship in the process of franchise expansion. Although the modus operandi of entrepreneurs is to find their way and work on their own success, it is good to build a business model with advisors and improve additional business.

Zhenya Moskaljov, the owner of the Dog&Style franchise, believes that dedication to the idea is another guiding principle of franchise development. Born out of the founder's passion for pets, the initial idea quickly gained a wider context and now the system is 3in1, i.e. in addition to food and equipment for pets, it also has a veterinary clinic and a dog grooming salon in one place. 

Croatian Association for Franchise Business FIP and the first business radio Poslovni FM, after the establishment of the first, unique franchise award on the Croatian and regional market FRANCHISE BRAND LEADER AWARD, they started franchise club, an umbrella place for the permanent gathering of the business community and all those interested in franchises and franchise business.
