In the organization of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Berlin, Statehood Day, Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Croatia and the 10th anniversary of Croatia's accession to the European Union were solemnly celebrated on the premises of the Embassy.
On this occasion, the City of Pag and the Tourist Board of the City of Pag are invited to celebrate and present their rich cultural, tourist and gastronomic offer.
The presentation of the tourist offer was held in the premises of the Embassy, at the beginning of which Ambassador Gordan Bakota greeted about fifty German journalists, while Romeo Dragicchio, director of the HTZ representative office in Germany, held a presentation where he invited German tourists to visit Croatia, which is a hit among destinations this summer. .
After that, a presentation of the tourism potential of the city of Pag was held, which was led by the director of the TZ of the City of Pag, Vesna Karavanić, and Bernard Maržić, an employee of the TIC Pag, with the showing of promo films that presented the German journalists with all the beauty of the city and the island of Pag.
More than two hundred guests from political, diplomatic, economic and social life in Germany and Berlin attended the reception, including the apostolic nuncio to Germany Archbishop Nikola Eterović, military attaché Brigadier Zdravko Barbarić, several representatives of the German Bundestag and distinguished individuals and businessmen from Berlin and Germany.
In the evening, a reception was organized at the Embassy for Croatian emigrants who work and live in Berlin, who were welcomed by Ambassador Gordan Bakota, after which the Mayor of Pag, Ante Fabijanić, addressed the audience and thanked them for the opportunity to present the city of Pag with all its values at this celebration. the highest level.
The embassy was also decorated in the symbol of the city and island of Pag, since since January of this year, an exhibition of photographs by Damir Fabijanić adorns its walls. "Pag - City - Island".
At the reception itself and during the promotion of the city of Pag, Pag national costume was presented, and there was almost no guest who did not take a photo with our couple in national costume.
In addition to the national costume, high-ranking guests enjoyed a presentation of Pag lace sewing.
The gastronomic offer aroused great interest, so Martina Pernar, manager of the Pag cheese factory, was in charge of the presentation of Pag cheese. It should be noted that there was a great interest in Pag cheese, followed by the products of Solana Pag, as well as Pag herbal tea, limoncello, cookies, sponge cake, raffajole, and baškotin. Sol band members Dario Grašo and Marin Milić ensured a good mood.
