Providing assistance and reception of persons refugees from war-torn Ukraine in the area of ​​the city of Zagreb

It is organized in the area of ​​the city of Zagreb accommodation in the reception center in Motel Plitvice, hostel Rakitje and Tomislav's home, where basic humanitarian aid (food, hygiene, clothing, bedding ...) is provided, as well as psychosocial support. All arrived persons are registered, and if necessary, the Croatian Red Cross Search Service helps them to get in touch with close persons.

Croatian Red Cross invites people from Ukraine, who entered Croatia and settled in a private arrangement, to contact the nearest Red Cross society in order to register them and provide them with the necessary assistance.

Due to the increased demand for translators from the Ukrainian language, an appeal is made that all those who can help in this segment, contact the e-mail address: ukrainska-kriza@hck.hr.

Croatian Caritas has made available its human resources and experience in organizing the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid needed to raise the capacity of emergency assistance in the organization of Caritas Ukraine, and will conduct fundraising to support cooperation with the same.                       

A monetary gift to help Ukraine can be donated:

  • via online payments at www.caritas.hr (urgent actions in the world - Ukraine)
  • by payment to the bank account Croatian Caritas at Privredna banka Zagreb dd; IBAN: HR0523400091100080340; SWIFT / BIC: PBZGHR2X; purpose of payment: assistance to Ukraine
  • by calling the donation phone 060 9010 (price on request 6,25 kn, VAT included)    

All those who can offer accommodation for people who with their animals fleeing Ukraine, they can contact the Animal Friends Association, which is in close contact with Ukrainian animal protection associations, and accommodation can be offered to animals and their owners, but also only to animals.
