What did Pula look like during Austria-Hungary or more than a hundred years ago? There are various sources, from paintings to architecture, but how it was live in that period is difficult to interpret.
That's why they came up with the idea of organizing the event in Pula.Live pictures of Austro-Hungarian Pula", which will be held for the first time for three days, namely Thursday September 12.09, Friday September 13.09 and Saturday September 14.09, 2024.
This never-before-revived story of Pula will provide an opportunity to immerse oneself in the rich history and tradition of Pula through storytelling, dance, food, film, lectures and interactive events, which should become a traditional recognizable event that will position Pula in a new, old fashion cultural and tourist map of the world.
The goal of the event is to show what life was like in Pula during the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and thereby enrich the program in the city while there are still many local and foreign visitors.
The Tourist Board of the city of Pula wanted to start the event in 2020, but it was postponed due to the corona virus, so last year a storytelling called Mladić who wanted to dance the waltz was started. The upgrade this year is precisely the Living Image project of Austro-Hungarian Pula, said the director of TZ Pula Sanja Cinkopan Korotaj and mentioned that the Tourist Board of Pula finances the program, and it was created by Ivna Bevanda Strah and her colleagues.
Ivna Bevanda Strah points out that the program is primarily educational and culturally touristic, intended for all ages, and various experts, associations and her team participate in the program.
Professor Igor Šaponja said a few sentences about the history of the Pula observatory, i.e. the hydrographic institute, he noted that "the observatory's program aims to awaken and affirm the forgotten stories of Pula's rich history" and, among other things, the lecture will be held by Korado Korlević and Damir Šegon, and the musical ensemble of Polan Samanta Stell's music will take guests back to the time of Austria-Hungary, as well as the fragrance called Polana (Polana is the name for an asteroid in the main asteroid belt, and was discovered by Johann Palisa on January 28, 01. ).
Various restaurateurs participate in the project with dishes and drinks that were served at that time. Cafes and restaurants throughout the city have prepared special offers of drinks and dishes inspired by this period, allowing those present to taste the spirit of the old times.
The main emphasis is on the crown of the event, that is, the concert of the Strauss Capelle Vienna orchestra, which will take place on September 13.09. at 20.30:XNUMX p.m. in the Little Roman Theater. In case of bad weather, the interested audience will be informed in a timely manner about changes in the program and locations.
