Career development in camping: Camp open days in Istria and Kvarner

The Camping Association of Croatia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, is organizing Camp Open Days again this year

This year, the Camping Association of Croatia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, is organizing Camp Open Days, a project that was launched for the first time in 2022 with the aim of promoting occupations and employment in the tourism sector.

After last year's pilot project in Istria, which was held at the Polari camp, this year the Open Door Days are being extended to Kvarner, so everyone interested will be able to participate in a professional-educational visit to the Krk Premium Camping Resort camp. According to the figures, the counties of Istria and Primorje-Gorski Kotar together account for 71% of overnight stays in camps in the Republic of Croatia.

The event was launched in order to intensify cooperation and interaction between vocational schools and employers in tourism. A professional-educational tour of the camp on the "Open Day" will present the specifics and needs of working in the camp to young people (students and students) and the wider interested public (unemployed and anyone interested). During the visit, all those present will be guided by the staff/representative of the camp and go through all the positions in the camp (reception work, food and drink, animation and other), which will give them the impression of working in the same. Pupils and students also get the opportunity to talk with employees and the HR department.
