In Hvar, Jelsa and Stari Grad from October 3 to 5, the future of the island of Hvar will be discussed. "HVAR ISLAND - RETHINKING THE FUTURE - Shared vision of the island's future. From personal ideas to collective action" The island trilogy project is conceived as a unique experience that connects activities relevant to the development of the island of Hvar.
As part of the event, there will be lectures intended for all islanders and everyone who loves the island of Hvar. The idea is that representatives of the private and public sector, small and large entrepreneurs, educators, cultural workers, artists, activists and everyone who wants to contribute to a better future of Hvar should actively participate in the discussion and reflection on the future of the island.
Lecturers Marc Buckley and Dina Baenninger are internationally recognized experts and consultants on the topics of sustainability, regenerative processes and innovative business strategies, and advocate the transition from the theory of sustainable development to active regeneration of the environment, society and economy.
The lectures will provide concrete guidelines for adapting to rapid changes and present innovative approaches and financial opportunities that Hvar can use for a better future and encourage us to become leaders of change and create a prosperous future for ourselves and future generations on the course of Hvar.
The new Tourism Act opens up opportunities for us to create our own path, but only with joint efforts can we make that path lead the island of Hvar towards the status of a leader in sustainable tourism, but also, what is even more important, towards an island desirable for a healthy and happy life all year round.
