Income from foreign tourists in the first half of 2023 is 3 billion and 850 million euros

Revenues from foreign tourists amounted to 3 billion and 180 million euros, which represents an increase of 18,4 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

According to data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB), in the second quarter of 2023, revenues from foreign tourists amounted to EUR 3 billion and 180 million, which represents an increase of 18,4 percent compared to the same period in 2022, i.e., revenues of EUR 494,2 million euros more.

Overall, in the first half of 2023, revenues from foreign tourists amounted to 3 billion and 850 million euros, which represents a growth of 21,4 percent compared to the same period in 2022, i.e. 678 million euros more.

"After the record year 2022 in terms of income from foreign tourists, we are recording even better results in 2023. Croatia has made a big leap in quality and has become recognized as a desirable tourist destination outside of the summer months.", Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac pointed out and emphasized that she thanks all the employees in the tourism sector for the effort and engagement that make Croatian tourism competitive and Croatia one of the most desirable tourist destinations.

"The Government of the Republic of Croatia has developed a structured dialogue and partnership with tourism stakeholders and we will continue to support the quality development of Croatian tourism", concluded Brnjac.

By the way, by September 22, 18,1 million arrivals and almost 100 million overnight stays were achieved, which is 8 percent more arrivals and 2 percent more overnight stays compared to the same period last year.
