From spring, a new tourist offer in the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park

This year, the public institution Lonjsko Polje Nature Park took over the ten ordered electric golf carts je expanded its tourist offer.

According to reports from PP Lonjsko polje, the conditions have now been created for electric cars to be on permanent tourist offer for rent to visitors in the spring. Visitor Center Osekovo, thanks to the City of Popovača, which financed the construction of garages for electric golf carts.

Electric golf carts, in addition to meeting ecological requirements for nature conservation and the use of electricity, are suitable for traffic in the Park, because they are noiseless and do not disturb the animals that live in the area of ​​Lonjsko polje.

"Electric golf carts attracted a large number of visitors in Krapje, which we hope will be the case in Osekovo as well. We expect the construction of a storage facility for electric golf carts in Repušnica soon, and that from next year we will have them on offer there as well.He said Domagoj Šejatović, director of the Lonjsko polje Nature Park Public Institution.

This year, cars could be rented in Krapja visitor center, and from next spring it will be possible to rent in Visitor Center Osekovo.

Let us remind you that in February of this year, the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park enriched its tourist offer with 10 electric golf carts, which were co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency with 80% of the funds, and the cities of Kutina and Popovača with 10% of the funds needed for their purchase. .

"Given the large area of ​​Lonjsko polje, these vehicles will provide visitors with a simple and safe way to find the desired localities, and with the beautiful scenery, they are an ideal combination for exploring and completely surrendering to the beauty of nature. I believe that the guests of the Park will be happy to use electric cars because driving through the fields offers an unforgettable experience and socializing with indigenous breeds along with rich flora and fauna." said the director of the Kutina Tourist Board Ivana Grdic.

The Lonjsko Polje Nature Park is one of the largest and best-preserved natural floodplains in Europe, and the entire area of ​​the Park is 50.650 ha of protected area, located along the left bank of the Sava River in a length of about one hundred kilometers.
