TZ Zagreb County winner of the Destination of Excellence award at the prestigious fair in Switzerland

The Zagreb County Tourist Board won the prestigious Destination of Excellence award at Swiss Tourism Awards 2024, held in Lugano, Switzerland. This recognition represents the culmination of many years of effort and dedication in creating a unique tourist identity that recognizes and nurtures authenticity, quality and sustainability.

The award ceremony was part of it Swiss International Holiday Exhibition, one of the most prominent travel fairs in Switzerland, which brings together travel enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world. Zagreb County, despite strong competition from global destinations, stood out as Book continental destination, enchanting visitors with its authenticity, rich culture and natural beauty.

The Zagreb County Tourist Board emphasizes the importance of all stakeholders who actively contribute to the creation of an innovative tourist offer, unique attractions and sustainable solutions.

"This is a recognition of our entire region, every family that provides accommodation, every farmer, winemaker, OPG and enthusiast who are part of our story. Thank you all", they say on the occasion of the award.

With this award, Zagreb County further confirms its authentic approach that successfully satisfies demanding visitors from Switzerland and other European countries, who increasingly value excellence, authentic experiences and the sustainability of the destination. This recognition is also an incentive for further projects planned for 2025, through which the Zagreb County Tourist Board will continue to develop and improve the quality of tourist services.
