The largest international tourist fair in Bavaria - the fair f.re.e which took place in Munich - Croatia was this year's partner country.
The fair was open to visitors from 22nd to 26th February, and achieved a record number of 165.000 visitors. Along with the Croatian Tourist Board as the main exhibitor, it also presented its offer as part of the Croatian stand 27 Croatian co-exhibitors, that is, hoteliers, agencies, transport companies, but also tourist boards, among which is the TZ of Split-Dalmatia County.
The opening ceremony of the fair was attended by the director of HTZ Kristjan Staničić and Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, Reinhard Pfeiffer, director of the f.re.e fair, Dieter Reiter, Mayor of Munich, Sabine Jarothe from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, state development and energy and others.
The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County presented itself with a rich tourist offer, but also with songs, traditions, smells and tastes.
As part of numerous events that will additionally present Croatia as a partner country, the Alkari from Sinj, the guys from Alkar and the City Band of Sinj also performed in Munich. Thus, the Sinj alka procession, the final round from the opera "Ero from another world" and majorettes opened this year's fair.
