The Split-Dalmatia County presented itself to the German market with songs, traditions, smells and tastes

Great success of Croatia at the largest tourist fair in Bavaria

The largest international tourist fair in Bavaria - the fair f.re.e which took place in Munich - Croatia was this year's partner country. 

The fair was open to visitors from 22nd to 26th February, and achieved a record number of 165.000 visitors. Along with the Croatian Tourist Board as the main exhibitor, it also presented its offer as part of the Croatian stand 27 Croatian co-exhibitors, that is, hoteliers, agencies, transport companies, but also tourist boards, among which is the TZ of Split-Dalmatia County.

The opening ceremony of the fair was attended by the director of HTZ Kristjan Staničić and Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, Reinhard Pfeiffer, director of the f.re.e fair, Dieter Reiter, Mayor of Munich, Sabine Jarothe from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, state development and energy and others.

The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County presented itself with a rich tourist offer, but also with songs, traditions, smells and tastes. 

As part of numerous events that will additionally present Croatia as a partner country, the Alkari from Sinj, the guys from Alkar and the City Band of Sinj also performed in Munich. Thus, the Sinj alka procession, the final round from the opera "Ero from another world" and majorettes opened this year's fair.

The traditionally loyal market of Bavaria has shown interest in the Split-Dalmatia county this time as well. In addition to knowing the main assets of the county, such as the sun, sea and beaches, they are also pleased with the new attractions presented to them - hidden Dalmatia, outdoor activities, the traditional beauty of the Dalmatian hinterland, and a rich eno and gastronomic offer with a tasting of Dalmatian prosciutto.

f.re.e. fair it is a continuation of the successful season of presenting the offer of central Dalmatia on foreign markets and confirmed the efforts of this area to communicate its benefits in the period before and during the season, and the interest in the said period has advanced considerably, she pointed out Ivana Vladović, director of the TZ Split-Dalmatian County.

"A long-term sustainable tourist offer that, in addition to economic benefits, takes into account the indigenous population and, above all, strives to preserve as much as possible the traditional way of life, preserve natural beauty and protect cultural heritage is the direction that the Split-Dalmatia County will continue to take in presenting the destination on foreign markets ." concludes Vladović.

The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the Bol Municipality, held a presentation in which the direct flight from Munich to Bol on the island of Brač by Croatia Airlines was also presented. The mentioned line additionally confirms the connection of the Split-Dalmatia County with the German market, and the planes will fly on Saturdays, in the period from the end of May to the first half of October. 

On the second day of the fair, there was a social gathering with dinner with fifty tour operators responsible for the sale of packages to Croatia, while the fair ended with a Dalmatian song to see off the last visitors.
