The start of vaccination has sparked optimism among European tourism workers, and it is clear to everyone that the percentage of vaccination of the population will be important data in assessing the safety of a destination this tourist season.
As for Croatia, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that Croatia had increased orders for vaccines and that, in his opinion, the majority of the population would be vaccinated by the end of April. It is also important that tourism workers are vaccinated, as they will be in direct contact with guests. A segment that can certainly have an additional positive impact on the perception of Croatia as a safe tourist destination.
To this end, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) has published a survey on interest in vaccination against COVID-19 in the tourism sector.
