Lecturers from France, Italy and Slovenia come to the Family Accommodation Congress

Croatian Association of Family Accommodation March 27 and 28, 2023 organized 2. Congress of family accommodation at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Split.

The congress, co-organized by the Split-Dalmatia County and the Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County, is intended for all holders of family accommodation.  

The main purpose of the congress is to familiarize renters with new trends, branding and support for family accommodation in Split-Dalmatia County, as well as tax policy. Guest lecturers will represent topics that are important to renters in successful business. 

"The Congress will host lecturers from France, Italy and Slovenia who are at the head of associations and organizations dealing with the business of family accommodation, and they will instruct the participants in novelties and ways in which each small landlord can stand out from the competition. In terms of the number of landlords, we the first county in Croatia, and that's why we're organizing it in Split. There's a lot of interest, the number of participants is limited, so we invite all those interested to sign up.", said the president of the Family Accommodation Association Barbara Markovic, adding that the goal of this project is to get closer to the ultimate renter. "The structure of renters is important for the whole of Croatia, which has 95 renters. That's why we decided to offer them something for free, all so that they can learn about new things and improve our service. Only through constant learning and investments can we respond to a changing and demanding market.", she concluded.

New projects related to the destination and accommodation branding will be presented at the Congress by the Split-Dalmatia County TZ, the director announced. Ivana Vladović.

"Almost seventy percent of the accommodation units in our county are family accommodation, and we will try to answer the questions that are crucial for renters. Everyone is invited to participate, because only through education can we offer quality and stand out from the competition. In these two days, we will find out how to answer the challenges posed by the market and at the same time being professional. We are expected by top lecturers, so I invite everyone to this congress so that together we can raise the quality of our offer", said Vladović. 

Representatives of the Tax Administration will inform the participants of the Congress about the entry of landlords into the VAT system and all other issues related to their business.

The County of Split-Dalmatia will present the 'Ambassador of Tourism' project, and the Administrative Department for Tourism and Maritime Affairs will present news related to categorization. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia will present on the topic of the planned recategorization of older accommodation facilities. 

"For years, we have been systematically dealing with the tourist offer in private accommodation. We were the first in Croatia to digitize data for private renters, as well as the minimum technical conditions for hospitality facilities. We also launched the project 'Ambassador turizma', through which we created one quality system brand for all private renters who want and can do more. We support the Congress that will gather renters who will gain new experiences in this way, but also exchange ideas with colleagues. Such events benefit our entire community and economy, and our goal is to combine all this with agriculture, the IT community , as well as other branches", he said Stipe Čogelja, deputy prefect.

"We invite all owners of family accommodation to come and attend the Congress, either via online streaming, or on the spot. Two days of varied programs are planned, through which various questions that trouble renters will be answered. We know what the problems are on the ground and that's exactly what with a field approach, we give them answers", Barbara Marković summarized in the statement he conveyed Jutarnji list.
