The 39th session was held today Tourist Council of HTZ as part of which it was adopted Annual work program of HTZ for 2025.
According to the new program, HTZ plans a total income of 55,3 million euros in the next year, which includes income from special funds. When carrying out promotional activities, special attention will be paid to those criteria that guests, according to the most recent research, pay the most attention to, namely the safety of the destination, pleasant climate, price competitiveness and hospitality of the host.
The Tourist Council also discussed the course of the reform of the management of tourism development, and the Tourist Council fully supported the reform and all the efforts that the Government of the Republic of Croatia invests in the development of sustainable tourism in order to ensure its success and competitiveness in the future.
"Today, we adopted the HTZ Annual Work Program for 2025, which follows all our strategic goals and all activities are aimed at further profiling and strengthening Croatia as a year-round destination. When we talk about next year, we have to point out once again that one of the key factors for choosing a destination will be prices, that is, the quality of the offered service in relation to the price. That's why I appeal again to all stakeholders in the sector to be realistic in the formation of prices, that is, that the price follows the quality of the service, because any increase in prices that is not justified will be punished by the market. Our competitive countries have already returned fully this year, and we should be aware that many of our emitting markets are in a challenging economic situation, and price will be more important than ever before when choosing a destination." said the Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina.
Priority initiatives are among the activities that will be implemented during 2025 Strategic marketing and operational plan until 2027., that is, the focus will be on 11 of the 23 defined initiatives, among which are design programs of innovative values, within which the focus will be on the premium segment of the offer, but also on lesser-known destinations. Also, work will be done on the further promotion of the tourist offer in the pre- and post-season and on the improvement of air connectivity, and the implementation of new communication tools is planned as part of the new umbrella communication concept.
"The total planned income of HTZ in 2025 is higher by 1,1 percent compared to this year, and in the work program for next year we have individually determined all the planned tasks and the necessary financial resources for their execution. When planning and defining goals, we took into account current market trends, according to which the most important travel motives will be tourist products such as culture and heritage, city breaks and being in nature. These are segments of the offer in which Croatia is very competitive on a global level, and we are also supported by indicators according to which travelers, especially those from Europe, will secure somewhat larger budgets for their trips compared to this year'sHe said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board, emphasizing that among the key strategic goals of HTZ for next year are the repositioning of the Croatian brand, a more even distribution of tourist traffic throughout the year, territorial dispersion of traffic and an increase in spending per tourist.
