Valamar organized a presentation in the town hall of the City of Poreč-Parenzo investments Pical, the largest single investment in tourism in Croatia worth 139 million euros, which will ensure year-round tourism of the highest quality, facilities open to the general public, and a contribution to the local community, i.e. it will improve the quality of life of the residents of the City of Poreč.
Specifically, the Pical investment brings 600 new jobs and about 4 million euros to the budget of the City of Poreč-Parenzo every year.
Completion of the works is scheduled for the end of 2025, and pre-sales, employment and training of employees will begin already this year. Hotel Pical will offer around 600 high-value permanent jobs with the aim of employing local employees residing in the city of Poreč, which will have a positive impact on the local economy.
It is estimated that, through taxes and fees related to the Hotel Pical, Valamar will annually pay about 19 million euros into the budget, of which about 4 million euros each year into the budget of the City of Poreč-Parenzo.

Such significant financial resources can help the City solve some of the important needs of citizens, such as improving working conditions in schools, kindergartens or sports clubs. Valamar Riviera and the City of Poreč have been cooperating for many years on projects to improve the quality of life of our fellow citizens, and I am sure that the arrangement of the Pical zone will be an example of good practice in the sustainable development of tourism.", he said Željko Kukurin, President of the Management Board of Valamar.
An important factor: Facilities open to the general public and cooperation with the Sports Association of the City of Poreč
