Confirmed date of entry of Bulgaria and Romania into Schengen

Although it was expected that Bulgaria and Romania would become part of the Schengen area by the end of 2023, it has now been officially announced that this will happen from March 31, 2024. 

European Tourist Commission ( ETC ) enthusiastically supported the signing of the agreement on the entry of Bulgaria and Romania into the Schengen area, which will significantly contribute to the strengthening of tourism in the Balkans. 

"Looking ahead, we strongly encourage EU members to lift remaining land travel controls and fully integrate both countries into Schengen." point out from ETC.
