Today began the traditional meeting of tourism workers and all stakeholders in the tourism system of the Republic of Croatia - Days of Croatian Tourism (DHT), which will be held on November 21 and 22, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian Tourist Board and Croatian Radio and Television.
This year's hosts are the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the City of Opatija, which are celebrating 180 years of organized tourism. The two-day program of this manifestation brings a series of presentations, panels and a ceremonial award ceremony to the most successful and deserving in tourism this year.
This year's Days of Croatian Tourism opened with a 1-on-1 conversation with the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonči Glavin, and the special guest of this event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, was the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili.

"All the strategic goals and activities that we implement as the Government have contributed to the fact that today Croatia is a year-round tourist destination. With the reform we are implementing, we will ensure the long-term success and competitiveness of Croatian tourism in the future. Our goal is to raise the quality of our service and develop value-added tourism in agreement with the local population", said Minister Tonči Glavina, while UN Tourism Secretary General Pololikashvili praised Croatia as a positive example in the development of tourism and pointed out that it belongs among the top tourist destinations.
