The aforementioned presentation was organized by the Croatian Tourist Board, which made sure that there were special guests on this topic Lena Arbery i Antony Powell, representatives of Tripadvisor, a globally known travel platform.

DHT participants were brought closer to today's trends and the modern border between expensive and acceptable, that is, based on numerous reviews and comments from users of this popular platform, they answered a frequent question - has Croatia really become more expensive than its competitors such as Spain, Italy and Greece?

As stated, the source of this and numerous other information is TripAdvisor, a travel portal that offers more than 135.000 world destinations and counts over 463 million monthly users worldwide, who leave their reviews about different facilities and destinations, including the value for money obtained.

As Arbery and Powell emphasized, what is most important to the guests is the experience, thanks to which the sentiment towards Croatia is very positive. Furthermore, the fact is that our country is not more expensive than competitors in the Mediterranean, i.e. to keep pace with regard to price and quality.

Guests perceive us as a destination with a variety of content that they are happy to recommend further and will do so "experience" mark the upcoming tourist year 2025.

GRANT OF ANNUAL TOURIST AWARDS

Part of the program is also the ceremonial awarding of annual tourism awards, with live television broadcast. Awards are given to individuals, representatives of the tourism industry, and the best destinations and entities that have earned prestigious awards for their work and results.

The annual Croatian tourism awards are a joint project of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, created to further encourage competitiveness, innovation and awareness of sustainable development and raising the quality of services and products in the tourism sector.

In 2024, the Croatian Tourist Board will award the Croatian Tourist Award as a special recognition for an exceptional contribution to the development and promotion of tourism in the Republic of Croatia.
