In the second quarter of 2024, 9,6 million passengers were boarded and disembarked in Croatian sea ports. Compared to the same period in 2023, this is an increase of 4,3%, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CSO).
2024 million passengers were transported on ferries and passenger ships in the second quarter of 9,2, which is 4,0% more than in the same period in 2023. The increase in passenger traffic was achieved in all major ferry ports. 4,5% more passenger vehicles and 4,3% more buses were loaded and unloaded on ships compared to the same quarter in 2023.
Out of the total number of passengers in sea ports, 441 thousand of them were disembarked from cruise ships and visited, among others, the ports of Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Rijeka. Compared to the long quarter of 2023, this is an increase of 12,2%.
In the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the total number of ships arriving at seaports increased by 0,9%, the total traffic of passengers increased by 5,4%, and the total traffic of goods decreased by 16,2%.
