Marking the European Mobility Week, which traditionally takes place from September 16 to 22, the "Krka" National Park joins numerous cities and municipalities across Europe that aim to encourage sustainable urban mobility.
The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness of the importance of active mobility and the use of clean and intelligent transport solutions. Accordingly, visitors who decide to explore the beautiful paths within the Park on foot or by bicycle during the European Mobility Week will receive tickets at a discounted price.
By encouraging citizens to choose sustainable forms of movement, this initiative promotes the many benefits of walking and cycling and highlights the importance of reducing emissions.
Thus, users of the educational hiking trail Skradinski most - Skradinski buk (3,4 km) and Stinice - Roški slap - Oziđana pećina (8,5 km) will be entitled to a preferential ticket price for the whole Park in the amount of 20 euros for adults and 7,50 euros for children from seven to eighteen years, and those who decide to locations Roški slap, Burnum and Eco campus "Krka"In Puljani, they will be able to buy a ticket at a price from 10 euros for adults and 6 euros for children.
By the way, this year's theme of the European Mobility Week, "Shared public spacei", emphasizes the importance of quality organization of public spaces: through a series of improvements - for example, increasing the safety of movement and reducing the level of noise and air pollution - the quality of life in them can be directly influenced.
"This year, we are calling for equality in the use of common public spaces, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. With quality public spaces that are pleasant for people to stay in, we contribute to the activation of local communities, and we encourage residents to use active forms of movement, such as walking and cycling." it is stated from the initiative.
"With the thematic guidelines for the European Mobility Week 2024, the Krka National Park will be part of a global effort to promote sustainable mobility and energy saving. Through this cooperation, we encourage all citizens to think about their habits when it comes to movement and to join the efforts for the preservation of our beautiful environment. Let "Combine and move!" be the motto of all of us during the European Mobility Week 2024, but also after it, so that together we can build a more sustainable future for all of us and our planet." they state from NP Krka.
The importance of good infrastructure is the key and the first prerequisite for any serious tourist tours, and Krka National Park is the same at an excellent level, both on the ground and through their presentation and promotion.
That's why I can join these and similar projects, but more importantly, this is exactly the additional motive for coming to NP Krka for the pre- and post-season.
Two tourist products: Krka Hike and Krk Bike
"Krka" National Park several years ago expanded its tourist offer by arranging it 12 cycling routes i 21 hiking trails which connect the most attractive parts of the park.
The cycling paths are divided into Trekking & family routes, Mountain-biking route and road tour, and together they form 388 kilometers of bicycle routes through the "Krka" National Park.
In the Eco campus "Krka" in Puljani it is possible (with prior notice) rent electric bicycles, and only bicycles for adults are available. Children's bicycles and child seats are not available. All the advantages of cycling in Krka National Park can be discovered in one place through a new website specialized only for cycle tourism - Krka Bike.
Also on the website is a section with hiking trails Krka Hike where there are 21 marked hiking trails of different lengths and difficulties, from 300 meters to 8,5 km, something for everyone.
All trails are marked, described in text accompanied by pictures and can be downloaded in pdf, gpx, kml/kmz format.
A well-rounded and well-presented offer of cycling and hiking trails. As it should be in every Nature Park and National Park.
