National restaurant Lička kuća ceremoniously marked the 50th anniversary of its existence and work

Restaurant Lička kuća, one of the symbols of the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the Lika tradition, on July 4, 2022, marked the 50th anniversary of its existence and operation with an appropriate ceremony.

Built in 1972 and arranged as a version of an ethno museum, the restaurant Lička kuća with its ambience and gastronomic offer based on ingredients of local origin, many of which are protected by the mark of the regional quality system Lika Quality, as products produced in the ecological oasis of Lika destination and verified traceability from the family farm to the table, authentically revives the rich tradition of the Lika region.

Just walking through the restaurant takes you to another world, the soothing warmth of the former Lika house, while the smells and tastes take you back to your childhood and the kitchen of our grandmothers, where the food is handmade from locally grown ingredients.

On the occasion of marking this significant anniversary, the director of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Tomislav Kovačević, thanked the restaurant's employees for their dedicated work and exceptional contribution woven into the top quality of the restaurant, stressing that the National Park and the Lika house are leaders in the gastronomic story of the Lika destination, and as such they have the privilege of helping the entire region by promoting local produced food on the tables of the guests. Director Kovačević noted that despite the numerous transformations that the restaurant underwent during its existence, it was and remains the center of local gastronomic delicacies.
