More than 80 exhibitors from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia and Spain will present their products in Poreč at the 16th edition of the Crofish fair, the only international fair of fishing, fishing equipment, aquaculture and water sports in Croatia. Entrance to the fair is free, and from November 22 to 24, more than 4 visitors from Croatia and the region are expected, during which everyone interested will be able to experience all aspects of Crofish - from professional to expert, educational, gastronomic and sports.
The correct valorization of seafaring and fishing is the motivation for starting the Crofish fair, he points out Robert Momić, president of the Chamber of Crafts of the Istrian County and president of the organizing committee of the fair.
"There is no doubt what built the Croatian coast, fishing and seafaring have always been among the first branches of the economy, and our fishermen and sailors are known all over the world. The number of exhibitors at the fair is growing, as well as the number of inquiries for exhibitions, so we are already thinking about expanding the exhibition space in the Žatika hall for the 17th edition. This year too, we paid special attention to the educational part, where representatives of fisheries administrations and scientists from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Montenegro will discuss the state of fisheries, but also the increasing impact of climate change on the fish stock, all with the aim of creating a sustainable fisheries for future generations", he orders A boy towards the opening.
