The Tourist Board of Central Istria has allocated EUR 2024 in grants for events in 16.170

The Tourist Board of Central Istria (TZSI) has announced the results of the public call for grants from the 'Support for Manifestations' program in 2024. Based on the public call, 56 applications were received within the given deadline, of which 44 met the given criteria.

The public call was aimed at events that raise the quality of the tourist offer in central Istria, contribute to the growth of the number of guests and increase consumption, especially in the period before and after the season, and promote central Istria as an interesting tourist destination.

Approved events were allocated a total 16.170 euros, the highest amount of the grant is 2500 euros, and the smallest amount is 100 euros. This year, the 18th Days of Honey event, organized by the Association of Beekeepers 'Lipa' Pazin, received the highest amount of support.

The funds will be used to finance cultural and entertainment, sports and ecological events in the area of ​​TZSI, i.e. the area of ​​the City of Pazin and the municipalities of Cerovlje, Gračišće, Lupoglav, Karojba, Pićan, Sveti Lovreč, Sveti Petar u Šuma and Tinjan.

Please note that this year, events organized by local self-government units within the TZSI were excluded from the public invitation. This year, TZSI will allocate funds to local self-government units directly through an agreement on co-organization of the event.

In this way, the most important manifestations in the territory of the TZ of Central Istria will be financed, such as the International Prosciutto Fair - ISAP in Tinjan, the International Sausage Fair in Sveti Petar u Šuma, the Wine Show in Gračišće, the Living Nativity Scene in Sveti Lovreč, and Advent and the ice rink in the heart of Istria in Pazin, as well as other events organized by LGUs.

Grants from the public call are intended exclusively for manifestations that will be held in 2024 and include the costs of the program (performers), rental of equipment (stage, audio and visual equipment...), procurement of consumables for the realization of the manifestation, space rental, costs of promotional materials and promotion, contractor expenses (accommodation, travel expenses), security services and other justified expenses.

Beneficiaries of the funds are trading companies, trades, cooperatives, associations, cultural and public institutions and other natural and legal persons.

TZSI will remit the approved funds to the organizer upon completion of the event and upon receipt of all accompanying documentation defined in the public invitation.
