The best Croatian wine festival is coming to Poreč.
It is a manifestation of the Wine City, which after Zagreb, Pula and Varaždin, is coming to Poreč for the first time this year.
Saša Špiranc's project, the Wine City, contributed the most in Croatia to raising the culture of wine drinking in Croatia and to the general public getting to know and enter the story of wines. Especially since the primary goal of the festival was born out of the desire to create an event adapted to visitors who do not deal with wine professionally but are just discovering the world of wine and enjoy consuming it in a relaxed atmosphere
"The tourist board is making great efforts to revive the pre- and post-season. By organizing the first Wine City in Poreč, we wanted to present the best of the world of wine and provide our winemakers with an excellent opportunity for promotion, and we found an ideal partner in Vinart. This event fits perfectly into the strategy of the development of Croatian tourism, with an emphasis on events in the post-season. Already this year, in the pre-season, we have achieved 60 overnight stays more than last year, which we intend to continue in the post-season as well. We are convinced of the success of this event and are sure that the citizens of Istria, as well as the numerous guests of Poreč and Poreština, will find something for themselves." , he pointed out Nenad Velenik, director of the Tourist Board of Poreč in the introductory part of the conference.
During the ten days of the festival, from 19. to 29. September in Olga Ban Park in the center of Poreč, visitors will every day from 19 to 01 hour of being able to enjoy the relaxed and pleasant ambiance of the Wine City, and the wide range of numerous Istrian, Croatian and foreign wineries.
