Destination booking platform To Do in Istria she received a prestigious award Golden goat - Capra d'oro for the best tourist product in 2024, awarded by the Tourist Board of the County of Istria. 

The platform enables easy booking of attractions, tours, experiences and events in the area of ​​Istria.

The award recognizes innovative approach of this platform in the presentation, sale and promotion of quality content, which raises the standard of the tourist offer and facilitates the authentic experience of Istria for visitors.

The first destination booking platform in the region

The idea of ​​the destination booking platform To Do in Istria started at the end of 2019 as an initiative Istrian Development Tourism Agency (IRTA) due to the need to create a unique reservation system in the area of ​​Istria. 

The project was successfully implemented in 2023 in cooperation with the Administrative Department for Tourism of the County of Istria and the Tourist Board of the County of Istria, while the digital agency Marketinghing was responsible for the technical implementation, which provided a modern and functional solution for users.

The To Do in Istria platform presents a breakthrough in promotion and improving the tourist offer of Istria. As the first destination booking platform in the region, it allows visitors easy and quick access to the most attractive tours, experiences, events and local attractions, according to IRTA.

The aim of the platform is to facilitate the planning and reservation of content in one place and at the same time to promote the offer of local service providers.

This award is not only a recognition of the effort invested, but also an incentive for further development, with the aim of Istria remaining among the leading destinations that successfully combine tradition, innovation and modern technology.

To Do in Istria is proof that innovative projects and cooperation between stakeholders can create products that enrich the tourist offer of the region and make Istria an even more attractive destination.

Marketing and promotion as the key to success 

The To Do in Istria platform uses digital campaigns, social networks and targeted e-mail campaigns to achieve destination visibility. This way of communicating with end users enables a simple search and reservation of the desired attractions, tours, experiences and events. 

The To Do in Istria platform is already recognized as a useful tool for tourists and local service providers. Since its launch in 2023, the platform has been recording user growth, and an increasing number of tourists use its services to book unique experiences such as guided tours, water activities, gourmet and cultural events with a dose of adventure tours. 

Currently, the platform offers 115 attractions, tours, experiences and events that allow visitors to explore and enjoy Istria in an authentic way.

During 2024, the website recorded a total of 51.000 views and 213.000 realized events, which further confirms its growth and appeal among users and proves the success of the platform, confirming its significant contribution to the creation and promotion of Istria's tourist offer.

Further goals include continuous improvement of the To Do in Istria destination booking platform with new functionalities that will make it even easier for users to discover and book desired experiences.
