The triumph of "Operation 4" - international and domestic awards for the promotional film of the City of Omiš

If one of the goals of last year's promotional video of the City of Omiš was to win numerous awards at domestic and international festivals, then we can say that the operation was successful! 

"Operation 4” is the name of the promotional film Tourist boards of the City of Omis which, after its premiere, attracted numerous views, i.e. previews from all over Croatia and beyond, because of the unique story in which a girl and a boy from Omiš go in search of their idol, a native of Omiš and a famous football player Ivan Perišić.

The film that follows their "operation" to find a famous soccer player on social networks has achieved more than 500 views, with hundreds of positive comments, reactions and shares. 

And a year later, there were positive reactions and praises from different parts of the world, from the professional community of filmographers and tourism workers. 

Uradak, directed by Danijel Bolić, has so far won awards at 4 domestic and international festivals with total 7 awards won.

On the 9th edition Terres Travel Festival, festival that aims to promote films that promote sustainable development and tourism that cares about nature conservation, Omiš won first place in the category Tourist product - cultural tourism destination. More than 200 works from all over the world took part in the festival.

Recognition also came from distant Japan. Japan World Tourism Film Festival 2024 assigned second place to the film "Operation 4" in the Tourist destination - city category, while in front of Omiš were promotional films for the city of Nazaré in Portugal and Jimena de la Frontera in Spain.

As for domestic awards, Omiš also celebrated at the 13th consecutive international tourist film festival Zagreb Tourfilm Festival 2024, where he won two awards in competition with more than 90 films from 38 countries around the world: 

• First place - the best tourist video in Croatia in the category tourist destination - city
• Third place in the international selection category tourist destination - city

At the second edition of the Tourist and Ethnic Film Festival TEF KRK 2024, the film won the award for the best screenplay, the award for the best director and the Grand Prix for the best film of the festival.

And we hope that the prizes don't end here!

Namely, in the overall ranking of the International Association of Tourist Film Festivals - CIFF, which awards one of the world's most prestigious awards for the best tourism video, among which the Terres Film Festival, Zagreb Tourfilm Festival, Japan World Tourism Film Festival are members, Amorgos Tourism Film Festival, ART & TUR – International Tourism Film Festival, Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage Vienna, New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, Silkfest Banostor, US International Awards, Operation 4 is currently on fifth place of the overall ranking in the tourist destination - city category and according to everything, it will stay within the first five places in the final ranking.
