Yesterday at the President Hotel in Solin, the Split-Dalmatia Tourist Board presented the Tourism 3.0 project.
The name of the project symbolically represents the integration of the tourism sector into the third phase of the evolution of technologies on which the platforms that represent the building blocks of the Internet rest. At the presentation of the project, a virtual environment within the Sandbox Metaverse system was demonstrated, in which the content of the cultural heritage of the Split-Dalmatia County dominated.
Through this project, a model of implementation of technologies that mark the third phase in the development of the Web in the tourism sector has been defined in order for it to remain relevant and updated with its offer and opportunities for its own development. The central focus of the project is implementation of NFTs as a means in the further development of digitalization of tourism in the Split-Dalmatia County. NFT (Non-fungible Token) is a digital record of data stored on data blocks called Blockchain.
Once again, the Split-Dalmatia County has shown that it intensively monitors innovations and trends on the global tourism scene and successfully implements them in Croatia, he said. Joško Stella, director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and added:
