On the eve of the feast of St. Nikola, in Šibenik traditionally the Days of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation were held, in which Tomislav Kustić, Director of the Port Authority of Novalja, participated as a representative of the City of Novalja on the panel "New Investment Opportunities in the Improvement of Port Infrastructure and Communal Berths", followed by the Days of Regional Development and Funds where the Croatian island product labels were awarded and the ceremonial signing of the Agreement on the allocation of non-reimbursable EU funds. After the end of the award, there was a session of the Island Council, in which Prime Minister Andrej Plenković also participated.
On behalf of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, Branko Bačić handed the Mayor of Novalja, Ivan Daba, the Contract on the Allocation of Funds for Projects Financed from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021 - 2026, for the Amendments and Supplements project, to the Mayor of Novalja, Ivan Daba. spatial planning of the City of Novalja (Development of a new generation spatial plan through the electronic system "ePlanovi" for the City of Novalja). The City of Novalja received EUR 192.000,00 in grants, which represents the maximum amount of co-financing and also opens up new opportunities for further development and improvement of the City of Novalja.
Also, the Ministry of Regional Development and European Funds yesterday in Šibenik at the Days of Regional Development and Funds awarded the Tourist Board of the City of Novalja the Croatian Island Product designation for the following products: Manifestation "MarsOvca" and Manifestation "Life on Mars Trail". This prestigious label is a confirmation of the quality of our local products and projects, which proudly promotes and brands the recognizable and unique cultural identity of the islanders.
