The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County (TZ SDŽ) this year strengthened its marketing activities on the Austrian market and in cooperation with the Austrian television channel. Krone TV recorded a promotional show that achieved a total reach of 183.000 viewers.
The show is designed as a series challenges between two television presenters during which the unique attractions of Central Dalmatia are presented. The challenges included competition in the following segments: cycling to Vidova Gora, preparing a Dalmatian brunch, traditional olive pressing in the Uja Škrip Museum, kayaking in Omiš, searching for given microlocations and monuments inside Diocletian's Palace, and photographing the best view from the hotel room.
"As part of our marketing activities in every market, we cooperate with the best foreign media houses, portals, newspapers and television channels. Since April, we have been intensively implementing a large marketing campaign in our eight broadcast markets, including Austria, where we increased the scope this year to ensure additional visibility and promotion, but also to introduce our loyal Austrian guests to a selective tourist offer. Our goal was to present an authentic experience of the destination, starting with traditional gastronomy, cultural heritage, outdoor offers and natural resources. I am extremely happy that our show achieved the second largest audience reach on Krone TV, with 183.000 viewers, which shows that we are an interesting and attractive destination for Austrians. I believe that with this campaign we will further stimulate the interest of tourists in the coming months" she stated Ivana Vladovic, director of TZ SDŽ.
