Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important factor in the smart management of all aspects of life and business, and especially proved to be so in tourism.

Artificial intelligence has taken a very important place to achieve smart, sustainable and responsible tourism - it provides a high level of ability to respond quickly, agile and personalized to the needs of tourists, local stakeholders and the environment, but also improve welfare and transform society for the better in the coming decades. 

That is why it is crucial to educate yourself about the advantages, possibilities and challenges of artificial intelligence and to master the skills of applying artificial intelligence, about which the Zagreb County Tourist Board recommends learning more in the course. Elements of AI - a free online course on the basics of artificial intelligence, for which you do not need to know anything about higher mathematics or programming. 

Namely, the Zagreb County Tourist Board has recognized the key importance of the application of artificial intelligence in all aspects of life, business and tourism, and is the first tourist board in Croatia to join the challenge. AI Challenge organized by CroAI, Agency 404 and the University of Zagreb, as well as Reaktor and the University of Helsinki.

The goal of this challenge is to educate 1% of the Croatian population about artificial intelligence, and the Zagreb County Tourist Board hereby invites everyone to join the #AIChallenge challenge and step together into the future of tourism - in a smart, sustainable and responsible way.

"The base is education and we have to adapt to new technologies and trends. We understand how important it is to be in a new trend, constantly educate ourselves and most importantly prepare for the new programming period and financial perspective 2021-2027 and be ready for the recovery of tourism that will be focused on sustainable development and digitalization of tourism", Said Ivana Alilović, director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.

Namely, the European budget is standardly planned for seven years in order to ensure and systematically monitor the financing of European policies and the orderly movement of expenditures of the members of the European Union. Accordingly, the new programming period 2021 to 2027, in addition to the main goal of developing a new strategic plan and guidelines for the development of the European Union, had to include in its program measures to deal with the economic and health consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

For the next long-term budget, the Commission has traditionally proposed the modernization of the European Union's main investment policy, cohesion policy, and places great emphasis on investing in natural resources and the environment. With digitalisation, innovation and green politics, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Union leadership also decided to invest additional resources for the resilience and recovery of member states' economies.
