The Tourist Association of the Town of Mali Lošinj was awarded a special award for the best in the category Island destinations - the best destinations of the Adriatic islands, for a continuous creative approach to the design and development of new tourist products that enhance and complete the tourist offer of the destination.
Also, the The Via Apsyrtides project was selected among the five best in the category New project in tourism - group of tourist board and local administration which is also the winner of the traditional national annual Simply the Best award. It is a project that was created in cooperation between two tourist boards; Mali Lošinj and Cres. With this creative approach to designing a new tourist product that connects two cities on the islands of Cres and Lošinj, the attractiveness of the destination's tourist offer has been further enriched.
This system of pedestrian detours connects and presents the natural and cultural attractions of the islands of Cres and Lošinj, at the center of which is a 150 km long transversal path that stretches from the northernmost point of Cres to the southernmost point of the island of Ilovik. The project contains information on 11 sections with a detailed description, GPS tracks, service information, instructions on equipment, arrival, attractions and more, and in addition to trail markings, on the website viaapsyrtides.hr the main rules of behavior in nature are highlighted, which highlights respect for the traditions of the island and introduces visitors to local customs and lifestyle.
On November 28, 2022, the director of the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj, Dalibor Cvitković, received the awards in Velika Gorica as part of the 23rd International Business and Tourism Exchange PUT, the oldest B2B tourist meeting.
