Croatian Tourist Board and HTZ Representation in Paris with support of the Croatian Olympic Committee in the heart of Paris in to the Croatian house, during the Summer Olympics, presented the overall Croatian tourist offer through a special promotional event in style Mediterranean garden. The goal was to numerous French partners, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, media, travel bloggers, but also representatives of the sports public and the International Olympic Committee to present what Croatia is most recognizable for in the world - tourism and sports.

"After the European Football Championship in Germany, the biggest sports stage in the world seemed to us to be an excellent opportunity for additional promotion of our country. France is one of our most important broadcast markets with great potential for further growth and development, especially in the direction of sustainability. We recognize the potential of Croatian tourism on the market of France, and I am convinced that, according to the positive trends so far, we will also achieve excellent tourist traffic from this market this year, especially in the postseason that follows us.", said the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, who wished good luck to the Croatian athletes, who are also the biggest ambassadors of Croatian tourism in the upcoming sports performances in France.

They are at the event, along with the director Stanicic, attended by the former president of the Republic of Croatia and also a member of the International Olympic Committee Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, president of the Croatian Olympic Committee Zlatko Mateša, chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Paris Senka Burić and numerous other guests.

She emphasized that Croatia is very well positioned in France Danijela Mihalić Đurica, director of the HTZ Representative Office in France.

"Our country's popularity is confirmed by almost daily announcements in the most prominent media, and today there is almost no travel organizer that does not have Croatia represented in its programs. Through numerous realized campaigns and projects, we strive to position our country as a premium, high-quality and sustainable destination, because the French are most attracted to pristine natural beauty , a rich cultural and historical heritage, but top-notch wine and gastronomy, only a small part of which we decided to present to the many gathered partners during the Olympics and events at the Croatian House", she ordered Mihalić Đurica, emphasizing that as many as seven new direct lines connect France with Croatian destinations this year.

During the evening, Croatian chefs Marko Đurašević i Branimir Prnjak, from the restaurant Zrno soli in Split, which has a MICHELIN recommendation, introduced the guests to Croatian autochthonous gastronomy, while the spirit of the Mediterranean was completed by old Dalmatian and somewhat forgotten Croatian compositions performed Katice Marinović. Over 140 visitors enjoyed the exhibition of 30 photographs that introduced the guests to a trip to Croatian regions, combining tourism and sport.

"We are sure that our country can only rise in the ranking of the favorite foreign destinations of the French, who already especially value and love Dubrovnik and Split, that is, who recognize our natural beauty, cultural heritage, as well as the offer of active tourism, and I also emphasize the common love of Croats and the French towards superb food and wine and, of course, sports", he concluded Stanicic adding that in the previous part of the year from the market of France was realized 310 thousand arrivals i over 1 million overnight stays which compared to the same period last year represents a growth of 6% in arrivals and 8% in overnight stays. 

Considering that the occasion of this event is the Olympic Games, a small competition has been prepared for all guests, but not in any sports discipline, but in luck. Namely, in cooperation with partners, a prize game was organized, and the main prizes were plane tickets provided by it Croatia Airlines, while she took care of the accommodation and experience of the Croatian metropolis Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb.
