With regard to the improvement of the general epidemiological situation in Croatia, today at the 108th session of the Government, mitigation of epidemiological measures was announced, primarily related to various forms of gatherings, thus increasing the number of people at public events, extending working hours of catering facilities and abolishing children's self-testing. in schools.

The number of people allowed to attend public events and gatherings in open and closed spaces is increasing, and there is no limit to the number of people who can be present at events with covid certificates.
 
It will continue working hours of catering facilities with the existing limit of 2 a.m.
 
Also, related to kindergartens and schools, it is planned to abolish self-isolation for preschool children, except for family contact and the abolition of routine self-testing of students once a week, except when an individual class is found to have a positive test.
 
There will also be mitigation of measures in sports competitions, amateur cultural and artistic performances, fairs and other forms of economic and tourist events indoors, professional artistic performances and indoor programs, cinema screenings, exhibitions, religious ceremonies and session of representative bodies.

"Gathering restrictions - there can be 200 people at public events out there, not 100 as before, and if everyone has digital covid certificates, there are no more restrictions.", said Bozinovic.

The new decisions come into force from tomorrow, ie from March 18

In the last 24 hours, 2.032 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection were recorded, and the number of active cases in Croatia today is a total of 11.073.

Among them, 696 patients are in hospital, of which 42 are on respirators.

9 people died.

Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of infection was recorded in Croatia, a total of 1.079.397 people infected with the new coronavirus have been recorded, of which 15.392 died, a total of 1.052.932 recovered, of which 1.190 in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 7.388 people in self-isolation.

To date, a total of 4.606.262 people have been tested, of which 7.190 in the last 24 hours.

As of March 16.3.2022, 5.213.058 56,90 doses of vaccine were consumed, and 67,68% of the total population and 16.3.2022% of the adult population were vaccinated. On 1.895. 293 doses of vaccine were consumed, of which 16.3.2022 were vaccinated with the first dose. As of March 2.309.094, 2.235.368 2.034.352 people were vaccinated with at least one dose, of which 201.016 people were vaccinated (65,64 people vaccinated with two doses and XNUMX people vaccinated with Jannsen vaccine), which is XNUMX% of the adult population.
