Vinistra Association brought Decanter to Croatia for the first time

Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase by Vinistra will be held on June 27 at Golf Adriatic Clubhouse Kempinski in Savudrija and will gather 200 wine professionals.

Organized by the association Vinistra, at an exclusive wine event Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase in the Golf Adriatic Clubhouse of the Hotel Kempinski in Savudrija, wines will be presented 40 Croatian wineries which won medals at this year's Decanter Wine World Awards (DWWA).

It is a B2B event, which can only be attended by invitation, and will bring together professionals and media representatives who follow the increasingly dynamic wine scene.

Ten famous people will come to Istria already on June 26 wine journalists from abroad who, organized by Vinistra, will visit Istrian wineries until June 29 and enjoy top quality Malvasias and Teranis.

"I am proud that award-winning Croatian wines will be presented to top professionals in our wine Istria. About two hundred guests from Great Britain, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia will participate in the event. Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase by Vinistra is organized in the year when our association celebrates its big anniversary, 30 years of existence, and this event is another confirmation that we are an attractive wine region", he stated Luka Rossi, president of Vinistra, the association of winegrowers and winemakers of Istria, congratulating all awarded winemakers at this year's Decanter awards.

Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board, points out that the arrival of Decanter in Croatia, one of the most influential wine evaluations in the world, is a significant step in the development of the Croatian wine industry.

"We believe that this event confirms our efforts, given that Croatia is continuously working on the quality and development of wine production, and thus on the promotion of the eno-gastro offer as one of the most sought-after tourist products and an important motive for guests when choosing a destination", says the director of the Croatian Tourist Board.

Along with Decanter, a global wine brand, the Vinistra association and the Croatian Tourist Board, the partners in this important project for the Croatian wine scene are the Tourist Board of the Istrian County, the Tourist Board of the City of Umag and the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic Istria.
