Cruise ship visitors triple Ibiza's population

Biologists warn of the irreversible impact of large ships on marine and coastal ecosystems.

Last year almost 550.000 cruise passengers arrived in Ibiza, which is a 39 percent increase compared to the number of people who arrived five years earlier. Only 50.000 people permanently live on the small Balearic island.
