Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2024: Croatia won four awards

Great news for Croatia comes from London, or rather from Wanderlust, one of the UK's most respected travel media outlets. At the awards ceremony Wanderlust Travel Awards 2024 held at the British National Gallery Tate Modern, Croatia won silver in the category the most desirable destinations in Europe ahead of France, Spain and Greece. Silver were awarded and Croatian islands occupying second place in the most desirable region category, and the great news doesn't end there since it is Dubrovnik won bronze in the category of most desirable cities, while Hvar occupied fifth place in the category of the most desirable islands.

"These four major awards prove that our country and its tourist destinations are at the very top of desirable destinations in Europe and that the success of Croatian tourism in the global framework is unquestionable. This is another confirmation of the quality of our overall tourist offer, and its value is even greater when we know that in this case we were rated by Wanderlust readers. I'm sure many of them have already visited our country, while those who haven't will surely do so after this election.", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board.
